We show up where voters already are, fairs, farmers markets, community festivals, to register people to vote and answer questions about how elections work. No experience necessary. You'll work alongside someone who's tabled before, and every conversation you have helps make sure more of our neighbors are ready to vote this fall. It's a lot of fun too.

The U District Partnership invited LWVSKC back for this popular community event. Following our successful 2025 participation, we are looking for volunteers to fill two-hour shifts between 11:00am and 8:00pm. Last year, ten volunteers and partners from Delta Sigma Theta helped staff our table throughout the day.

The LWV Unite & Rise Playbook 6, "Power Rising for Midterms," is the final and biggest phase of the series, built to drive impact at scale ahead of the midterms. It fuses building power with holding power accountable, mobilizing the League's national network toward record voter turnout, and protecting elections through Voter Education Week, Election Hero Day, Vote Early Day, and expanded election observation.
Stay Informed: Federal Court Blocks USPS Mail Ballot Rule for November
A federal court issued a temporary restraining order on 8/27/26, halting USPS from enforcing its new mail ballot rule with less than 70 days until the midterms. The order runs 14 days while the court weighs a preliminary injunction in League of Women Voters of Massachusetts v. Trump, filed by LWV and voting rights groups who argued the rule would cause irreparable harm to voters.

Mark Constitution Day With a Reading

On September 17, 1787, delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document that still governs how this country runs. This year the date also lines up with Washington State's America 250 Day of Civic Engagement, giving us a natural excuse to mark both at once.

On August 19, LWVSKC joined the Seattle Seahawks' "Hawk Walk" in West Seattle, an event pairing middle and high schoolers with Seahawks players and community partners for a mile-long walk about making a difference in their communities.
